AUSTRALIAN MEAT SUPPLIES.
Sir William Anglis, the Australian authority on the freezing industry, is of opinion that there was every prospect of Australia entering into a satisfactory arrangement with Britain for the purchase of meat and other primary products. Sir William Angliss advised owners of stock not to be too hasty in marketing them, as values were likely to be considerably above those ruling at present. Prices would be stabilised, and, 'with only 60 per cent, of freight available to convey their surplus produce overseas, pastoralists would be in an unfortunate position without this agreement
