PERSONAL NOTES

Lady Hewart, London, wife of Lord Hewart, Chief Justice of England, arrived at Wellington yesterday and has been staying at the Hotel Waterloo. Lady Hewart left today with Mrs. Peat for Wanganui, her former home.

Sir Percy and Lady Sargood, Dunedin, are staying at the Midland Hotel.

Miss Gladys Moncrieff, the noted Australian singer, arrived at Wellington by the Limited express from Auckland this morning.

Miss Downie Stewart, Dunedin, arrived in Wellington today, and is staying at the Hotel Waterloo.

Mrs. J. iLinklater, Palmerston North, is a visitor to Wellington.

Miss F. Meredith, Masterton, is visiting Wellington.

Miss- Millicent Ward, Auckland, New Zealand leader of the Health and Beauty Movement, is staying in Wanganui, and is the guest of Mrs. S. Newsome, St. John's Hill.

Miss C. Warburton, Palmerston North, has returned home after a visit to Napier.

Mrs. R. Dreyer, Hamilton, who has been visiting Masterton, is now in Wellington.

Mrs. Harold H. Souter, Karori, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. R. G. McElroy, Remuera, Auckland, returned to Wellington this morning.

Miss R. Makgill, Green Lane, Auckland, who has been visiting Hastings and Wellington and has been spending the last week as the guest of Mrs. J. Hillary, of Tatuanui, has returned to Auckland.

Mrs. G. Morton, Prague, is staying at the Hotel St. George.

Mrs. Jackson (Palmerston North) and Miss L. G. Gallagher (Wanganui) are staying at the Empire Hotel.
