3_ MILES OFFSHORE
(British Official Wireless.) (Received August 31, 11.10 a.m.) RUGBY, Augttst 30. The submarine Thetis, which was twice again successfully lifted on the tide, is now in shallower water about 3£ miles offshore. More lifts will be made on each tide but, as the sea bot-. torn shelves more towards the shore, the distance covered on each tide will be less. ______^___ m ___
