ZERO HOUR ON SUNDAY?
BELIEF IN ROME
CITY TO BE DARKENED AT
NIGHT

LONDON. August 30.
The Rome correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain states that cafes, dance halls, and other places of amusement have been ordered to close at 11 p.m., as from September 3, after which the capital will be darkened. Electric signs after tonight are forbidden.
Sunday has also been fixed for the mobilisation of two new military classes and also fdV the enforcement of the ban on private cars. These instructions have engendered the belief that the Government expects that Sunday will be the zero hour of the crisis.
People living in the cities and big towns net"..' the French frontier have been asked to evacuate them.

The Pope has sent messages to Queen Wilhelmina and King Leopold giving the "moral support and deepest appreciation" of the Vatican for their efforts to mediate between Germany and Poland.
