AGAINST CANTERBUR
WELLINGTON TO PLAY
An invitation from the Canterbur; Football Association for .a Wellmgtoi representative Association foop.^ team to play Canterbury at Christchurch on Saturday, September 23, was accepted by last night's meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Football Association. Canterbury explained that they were to play Auckland xor the F.A. Trophy, at Auckland, on September 30 The chairman (Mr. J. Meltzer) presided over last night's meeting, and there were also present Messrs. J. J. Kean, A J. Costelloe, M. H Webley, R. Bald, A. E. Powers, E. J. McQueen, G F Aers C. Ballard, E. J. Gates, and the secretary (Mr. W. J. Arcus). Permission was granted the Marist Club for its second A division and third division teams to visit Christchurch to play Marist teams there on September 16. The transfers were granted of U. Sutherland from Otago High School Old Boys (Dunedin) to Swifts, and of R. Tarrant from Marist second B to third division. Senior fixtures for Saturday week, September 9, were made as follows:— First A Division —2.45 p.m. Waterside v. Technical Old Boys, at Kelburn. Petone v. Seatoun, at Petone. Swifts v. Diamond, at Crawford Victory Cup Final. Institute Old Boys v. Stop Out, at Kilbirnie.'
