BRISBANE, August 29. The New Zealand No. 1 croquet team had a good win over a strong South Australian team today. In another teams match, the North Island defeated the South Island. Results: — New Zealand 145, beat South Australia 119. Doubles: R. W. McCreath and Mrs. Gambrill won, 26-9; Mesdames Clark and Palmer lost, 21-26: Singles: R. W. McCreath lost, 20-26; Mrs. Gambrill won, 26-23; Mrs. Clark! won, 26-15; Mrs. Palmer won, 26-20. North Island 137, beat South 119. Doubles:. Mesdames Henderson and Brown lost to Mesdames Nicholson and Bryant, 18-20; Mesdames McCreath and Lowery lost to J. Thompson and Mrs. Griffin, 21-26. Singles: Mrs. McCreath beat Mrs. Griffin, 26-15; Mrs. Lowery beat J. Thompson, 26-20; Mrs. Brown beat Mrs. Bryant, 26-13; Mrs. Henderson lost to Mrs. Nicholson, 20-25.
