BOTH SIDES TO MEET

A week ago the Minister of Industries and Commerce (th : Hon. D. G. SulliA'an) explained that when retail prices Avere increased and notified, as in the case of the rise in the retail price of beer, an investigation by the Price Investigation Tribunal followed automatically. According to the president of the Wellington Licensed Victuallers' Association the new price of beer has been the subject of investigation by the tribunal. He added that the Wellington Licensed Victuallers' Association Avould meet on Monday and it Avas expected that the findings of the tribunal would be available for that meeting.

Beyond that, the president of the association had nothing further to say today.

The beer drinkers and all others interested in the increase in the price are also to meet. A mass meeting has been called for tomorroAV at the Basin Reserve at 2.30 p.m. for the purpose of discussing the rise in the price of beer.
