WORLD UNREST
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—May-1 appeal through the medium of your widely-read paper to every thinking person in this country to realise the serious state of the world situation today? Surely there never was a time more opportune for men and women to return to the noble teaching of Christ and thereby put an end to the present tragic state of affairs, a state of affairs brought about by selfishness and greed. History has proved that when man forgets that he is a spiritual being and wants to regulate his life apart from God he has to face the same result —failure.
At the time of the Coronation of our present King the Archbishop of Canterbury made an earnest appeal to the British people for a return to religion and his appeal was none too soon.' His remarks were supported by every right-thinking man in England. One has only to look back through history to see that the nation that forgets God is doomed to pass away. Our churches should be crowded tomorrow by earnest men and women pleading for the peace of the world, particularly at the Lord's own appointed service, the Holy Communion.—l am, etc.,
