Mrs. Hawksworth and Misses Nancy Fleming, Mavis Kerr, and Freda Fernie, Wellington, are staying in New Plymouth, where they will compete in the New Zealand badminton championships.

Miss I. M. Pearce left by plane this afternoon for Blenheim to act as the representative of the New Zealand Women's Hockey Association at the Dominion women's hockey championship games, which commence tomorrow.

Miss Dorothy Taylor, Amberley House, Canterbury, is the guest of her sister, Mrs." Gordon Mifams, 'Karon, for the school holidays.

Miss Tui Anderson, Masterton, is staying with her sister, Mrs. F. D. Lewis, Palmerston North.

Miss Ethel Law, Wellington, national secretary of the Y.W.C.A., will be the guest of Mrs. C. A. Small, Palmerston North, next week.

Miss Rachael Bennett, Wellington, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Bennett, Masterton.

Miss Margaret Paterson, Wanganui, is the guest of Miss E. Griffin, Dunedin, and will be a bridesmaid at the Paterson —Griffin wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. B. Greenslade* Dunedin, have returned home after a visit to the North Island. . Mrs. G. F. Wilson, of Assam, India, who has been the guest of Mrs. H. R. Kemp, Hawera, left yesterday on a motor tour of the North Island.
