LIAISON OFFICER

AIR FORCE ORGANISATION

The attachment of Flying Officer A. B. Lindop to assist the New Zealand liaison officer at the Air Ministry, London, has been approved by Cabinet, stated the Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) yesterday. Flying Officer Lindop will occupy the ! post for twelve months, after which he would attend courses of instruction in equipment and accounting duties in the United Kingdom. He will leave for England by the Rangiiata from Auckland. The Minister also announced that Mr. F. C. Carpenter, who had been on exchange to New Zealand in place of the chief inspector of aircraft, .Mr. R.I C. Kean, left last night for Auckland j |on his return to the United Kingdom.) Mr. Carpenter has been in New Zeailand for a year attached to the civil | aviation branch of the Air Department. Mr. Kean will return to New Zealand about the end of November.
