THE CALIFORNIA CLIPPER

Announcing the schedule for the first Pan-American flight since the tragic loss of the Samoan Clipper last year, Mr. Harold' Gatty, New Zealand .representative for the Pan-American Airways, said that the giant plane California Clipper leaves San Francisco on Tuesday next and. flies to a schedule which wili bring her to Auckland oh Tuesday, August 29. .

Mr. Gatty emphasised that the flight is essentially for survey purposes by the company's representatives and United States Government observers to report on the new bases at Canton Island and Noumea. If the officials desired to stop longer at any base their wishes would be met. Thus the schedule might be altered.
