BOSTON TOURNEY RESULTS

BOSTON, August 18

H. Hopman (Australia) and Miss A. Marble (U.S.A.) beat J. H. Crawford (Australia) and Miss B. Nuthall (England), 5-7, 6-1, 6-4, and entered »the semi-finals of the mixed doubles against R. L. Riggs (U.S.A.) and Miss K. Stammers (Britain). It was the best mixed doubles match of the da.y Crawford was splendid. but Miss Marble was poor.

G. Mulloy (U.S.A.) and Miss V. Scott (England) beat J. Bromwich (Australia) and Mrs. R. Mathieu (France), 0-6, 6-4, 6-2. The No. 1 foreign seedings seemed to have the match well in hand, but Mrs. Mathieu cracked up and Bromwich also had a let-down in the last stages.
