LORRY STRUCK BY SLIP

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, August 18. When his motor-lorry was struck by a large slip on the River Road about 18 miles from Wanganui last night, Mr. L. O. Rayner, of Wanganui, escaped without injury, though the body of the lorry was wrenched from the' chassis and wreckage carries! down the embankment and buried in spoil. The steel cab of the lorry was not crushed, I and this saved Mr. Rayner from injury.
