SCOTTISH COMPANIES
STRENGTH INCREASED
The Government's decision to increase the establishment of "the Scottish companies recently formed was announced last night by the Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones).
"When the Government agreed to the establishment of a Scottish company in each of the four main centres in the Dominion the strength of each company was to be 125," said Mr. Jones. "It has now been decided to increase the strength of these units to a total in all ranks of 150, on the same conditions as have already oeen laid down.
"It is understood that each company already has a waiting list that will provide the increased number of recruits. Those applicants whose names are on the waiting list and who are not successful in being selected may, if they desire, enlist in one of the other Territorial units, as no further increase in the establishment will be permissible."
