SELECTING NEW HEAD

Salvation Army prayer meetings w°re held in Wellington last night as part of a world series being held in 90 countries within 24 hours to invoke the Divine blessing on the deliberations of the High Council of the. Salvation Army which meets in London today to elect a successor to General. Evangeline Booth as head of the Army. Brigadier Ryder, headquarters women's social officer, Major Nelson, divisional commander, and Colonel C. Walls, M.C., national young peoples secretary, conducted the meeting. The singing was by the Wellington City Songster Brigade, and the national headquarters' women's choir, under Major Goffin. There was a large attendance. -
