NINE EXPECTED

I At least nine cruise ships, eight from I Australia and one on a round-the-i world voyage, are to call at-New Zealand during the coming season and i their itineraries have now been ari ranged.. The ships from Australia will i mainly follow the usual route—from I Brisbane to Auckland and Wellington '—but one interesting deviation is to |be made by the Orford. She will I come to Wellington first, go to Picton, j cruise in Pelorus Sound, and return •to Sydney. This route is something jnew for pleasure ships. | The round-the-world liner which is j coming here is the Cunard-White Star ; steamer Franconia, no stranger to ! these waters. She will come to Weljlington from Sydney, Hobart, and George and Milford Sounds, and is due on the morning of April 24. She will leave that night for Auckland and will sail from there on the night of April 28 for Suva, Honolulu, San Pedro, Balboa, Cristobal, and New York. She will finish her cruise at New York, where she is due on May 31. The itineraries for the Australian ships are as follows:— Orion. —Leaves Brisbane October 23, due Auckland October 27, leaves October 28, due Wellington October 30, leaves October 30 for Sydney. Strathallan. —Leaves Brisbane November 14, due Auckland November 17, leaves November 18, due Wellington November 20, leaves November 20 for Sydney. Orford. —Leaves Brisbane December 19, due Wellington December 23, leaves December 24, due Picton December 24 (and anchors), leaves December 25 for Pelorus Sound and Sydney. Strathmore.—Leaves Brisbane December 25, due Auckland December 29, leaves December 30, due Wellington January 1, leaves January 1 for Sydney.
