SYDNEY, August 12. Class horses for the spring racing who were galloped at the Rosebery Meeting provided one of the high lights of the afternoon. High Caste, Malagigi, arid Respirator kept well together over five furlongs, covered in lmin 3§sec, with the pace on over the last two furlongs, which took 25sec. High Caste, who finished
slightly ahssd of Malagigi, was going the best of the three. Gold Rod and Spear Chief also covered five furlongs, taking lmin 4sec, ;-? j Gold Rod going very easily. . ■ :. , Reading covered half a mile in 52$ sec, ! but had the pace on over the last three furlongs to record 37Asec. Defaulter, who is doing hard work at Randwick, covered five fm-longs on the heavy crass track in lmin 6sec, the last ' half-mile taking 53?ec.
