A QUICK VICTORY

THE NAZIS';OWN OPINIONS

Some interest has been aroused by a pamphlet issued by a Hungarian jurist named Dt. Ivan Lajos entitled "Germany's chances of victory in war, mirrored in German technical literature," said a Biudapest message to the "Daily Telegraph" on July 6.

The compile)* quotes at length from speeches and articles by prominent German politicians, many of them in the forefront of the Nazi movement today, and by <German military experts. Among the "Contributors" are HenHitler himsellj; Dr. Alfred Rosenbei-g, the cultural Iciader, and other prominent Nazis.

Many of thie quotations, however, date from years back, some even from the Great War period.

The quintessence of the compilation is to show from the mouths of German experts thermselves that a lightning war, such as. German leaders are sometimes credited with envisaging confidently, would! prove disastrous to Germany herseilf. in view of lack of raw materials, financial stringency, and the true. spirit cjf the German people.

An interesting passage is that in which are pmbodied the opinions of responsible^ authors and experts, who pay elaborate tribute to Russia's mii litary power.

The tremendous strides made in motorising ,the Russian Army have earned, it ?*s emphasised, the praise of German commentators.

Signor IV' tussolini has issued a decree banning the use of iron for railings and fences suripun^'"" courtyards, or houses.-^
