COLLEGES DEBATE

"That New Zealand should embark immediately on a large-scale scheme of immigration," was the' subject debated at Wellington College yesterday afternoon by teams representing the junior debating societies of Wellington, and Rongotai Colleges. Wellington College won the debate.

Mr. L. R. Palmer, master in charge of the Wellington College society,: presided. The visiting team was welcomed by the headmaster of ; Wellington College (Mr. W. A. Armour).

The teams were: Wellington; College, R. J. Taylor (leader), B. G. Dingwell, and H. A. L. Morris; Rongotai College, S. J. Teward (leader), C. B. Smith, and T. G. Constable. : . .
