The second semi-final of the Wellington amateur billiards championship was decided last night when A. Armstrong (Federal Club) beat S. M. G Simpson (G.P.O Social and Literary)- Armstrong will meet Moses m the final tonight, 500 up, at 7.30. Simpson did not produce the form shown in his earlier games, and made onlyone break of 23. Armstrong also appeared a trifle cramped, though he made two nice breaks, 59 and 49. These being gained early in the game, he quickly secured an advantage. The early lead was retained to the end, and the final score was called in Armstrong's favour, 300-246.
