Parore for his address on Maori art to the Auckland Society of Arts yesterday, states the "Neiv Zealand Herald" of today. It seemed remarkable that Ra, an Egyptian word, should be Maori for sun, he said. The lecturer added a confirmation that the rays of the sun andUhe pyramids were prominent features of the lattice work of much Maori interior carving.
