PEOPLE NEAR EXPLOSION
SUSPECTED I.R.A. OUTRAGE
LONDON. August 5
An explosion on the premises of the Miscellaneous Disposals Syndicate, a Government contracting firm at Holland Park, which was unoccupied at the weekend, blew out the sliding doors, filling the street with smoke and shattered glass, and set fire to the stockroom.
A man was reported to have been seen earlier hastily motoring from the scene. Residents escaping from adjacent buildings effectively used their air-raid masks.
Firemen quenched the fire from the neighbouring- roofs. Four more I.R.A. expulsion orders have been signed, bringing the total lo 57. | (Independent Cable Service.) j LONDON, August 5. Eight suspected members of the Irish Republican Army, against whom deportation orders had been signed, have disappeared and are believed to be somewhere in England.
