SUSPICIOUS KEY
OPENS TOO MANY DOORS
(By TeJegraph—Press Association.)
DARGAVILLE, August 4,
To find a key in possession of a man placed in custody which not only fitted the door of the Aranga School, which was recently entered, but also the door of the Dargaville Police Station, was an unusual discovery here by the police.
Sergeant Culloty, in court, gave evidence to the effect that the accused had visited Aranga during the weekend, when the school was entered.
Leslie Hugh Marshall pleaded guilty to being an idle and disorderly person before Mr. G. N. Morris, S.M., who expressed the opinion that, for the accused's sake, it would be better if the key were taken from him, as it opened too many doors.
Marshall was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence within six months if called upon.
