QUESTION OF AMALGAMATION

Addressing the Rhodesia group of the Overseas League, the Dominions Secretary, Sir , Thomas Inskip, said that one great question which profoundly affected the future of Southern and Northern Rhodesia had recently been much to the fore. Something in the nature of an exploratory operation had been conducted by the Bledisloe Royal Commission, and the result was now being studied to see whether there was a possibility of amalgamating the two essentially British territories, or perhaps the three territories (Northern and Southern Rhodesia and Nyasaland).
