ACCIDENTS
Mr. T. Hayes, a stonemason, of Raroa Estate, Johnsonville, had the tips of two fingers severed and other fingers badly lacerated when some timber fell on him while working on the new P. and T. store, Herd Street, at 8.45 a.m. today.
A compound fracture of the second finger of his right hand was suffered by Mr. J. B. Thurston, a teacher at Scots College, during a football match at Anderson Park on Saturday aftenioon.
Mr. L. Dale, a cabinetmaker, of 185 Townsend Road, Miramar, lost one finger and suffered a lacerated thumb when he caught his right hand in a circular saw at his home on Saturday afternoon.
While cranking a motor-lorry on Saturday afternoon Mr. J. Lawlor, a butcher, of 18b CoUleville Terrace, fractured his right ami.
