cap of £1000; second horse £100 and third £50; 1 mile 2 furlongs and 170 yards. . W. Woodward's br h Sansalvo, by Jacopo—La Rambla, syrs . 1 Lord Monck's b h Bacardi, by Caerleon—Bacchante, syrs ......... '2 Major L. B. Holliday's b m Flying Star, by Gainsborough—Life Belt, syrs ... ; 3 Ten started. Won by two lengths, with third horse a similar distance back. Winner bred by owner and trained by Captain Boyd-Rochfort at Newmarket.
