t'^THE GUARANTEED PRICE
'^'A denial that the question of the gfiiaranteed price was an issue at the election was made by Mr. ,A. G. Hultquist (Government, Bay of Plenty), w^p said that it was a principle accepted by the dairy farmers and Ilabour' supporters. -
;*The guaranteed price has proved so acceptable to.the. dairy farmers in my electorate," he said,> "that at the annual meeting of one of the largest dairy factories in Gasborne yesterday suppliers voted unanimously in favour of the guaranteed JDricel It has come to stay, aad' so f ar-%s the sheep farmers are concerned, there should be a vote taken gmong them to. see. if they want '.to enjoy the same privilege as the dairy farmers. 'Some members of the Opposition and the Farmers' Union hay*> put their loot in it, and I venture to Say that some.members of the Opposition wish they had never mentioned Jfece guaranted price." •
