Brooker, Oriental Bay, is visiting Auckland as the guest of her mother, Mrs. M. J. Kidd, and will shortly spend a holiday* at the Chateau Tongariro before her return south. Miss Kitty O'Connor, Palmerston North, was a visitor to Wellington for the Sacre Coeur Association dance last night. Miss Sylvia Button, Timaru, who was bridesmaid at the wedding of her cousin, Miss Marjorie Turner, on Wed- j nesday, has been staying with the bride's, mother, Mrs. J. C. E. Turner.; Miss Button will leave this evening on j her return south. Mrs. F. J. Mclntosh, J.P., has been authorised to exercise jurisdiction in the Hamilton Children's Court, the Gazette states.
