CANTERBURY CHALLENGE

MATCH WITH AUCKLAND

Notice of the intention of the Canterbury Football Association to challenge Auckland for the F.A. trophy was received at last night's meeting of the council of the New Zealand Football Association. Auckland successfully withstood Wellington's Challenge last Saturday, and Canterbury are anxious to secure a game as early as possible.

Canterbury also wrote that it would challenge for the Peter Dawson Cup if a match with, the holders (Westland) could be arranged within a reasonable time.

Mr. H. H. A. Renai presided over the meeting and there were also sent Messrs. P. Mackenzie. F. Sanders. W. J. Vaney, E. Hollis. W. B. Hicks. J. H. Dick, and the secretary (Mr. AH. Williams)
