AUCKLAND, July 17.

! The defeat of Neville Mudgway. Auckland, holder of «,he professional welterweight championship of New Zealand, was a feature of a programme staged by the Auckland Boxing Association in the Town Hall. In a match of ten three-minutv rounds the decision was given on points to Johnnie Foster, Canada. It was a disappointing exhibition all round.

A professional preliminary saw Bert McKay, Auckland lightweight, maintain his sequence of victories by technical knock-out, his opponent on this occasion being Fred Finnigan, Wellington The bout was stopped by the referee in the fourth round.
