Gascoyne, Hastings, are visiting Wellington. Dr. Elizabeth Gregory, lecturer in chemistry and nutrition at the Home Science School of Otago University, who has been granted leave of absence for six months, expects to leave Dunedin in about three weeks to attend the meeting of the American Dietetics Association in Los Angeles, at which all leaders of dietetics in Canada and the United States meet for discussion. Dr. Gregory will subsequently visit universities and hospitals to see the work being done there. Mrs. H. Gilmer, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. G. M. Hindmarsh, Hastings. Mrs. J. Hill, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Miss J. M. Currie, Wanganui, has been re-elected unopposed as a member of the Board of Governors of Wanganui Girls' College. Mrs. Mackie Begg, Mrs. R. W. S. Botting, and Miss Lovell-Smith left Dunedin yesterday to attend the annual conference of the Y.W.C.A. in Wellington this week. Madame Betts-Vincent left Wellington for Christchurch last night. Lady Wigram arrived at Wellington this morning from the south to attend the Red Cross conference and will stay at the Royal Oak Hotel for several days. Dr. Greta Cone, Dunedin, who has been the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Stevenson, Dunnotar, has left for Wellington, where she will reside in future. Mrs. F. McDonell left Rotorua, accompanied by Mrs. Sunderby, for Waitomo Caves on Saturday. Mr. .and Mrs. W. J. Evans, Rose-! neath, will be sailing by the Tasman on Wednesday for an extended tour of the East, including Java and Singapore.
