OBSERVERS' BELIEF
TO ENSURE SECRECY
GERMAN TROOP MOVEMENTS
(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.)
(Received July 13, 9 a.m.) LONDON, July 12. The Geneva correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says that foreign military observers believe Italy's expulsions of foreigners from the Tyrol are designed to ensure secrecy for important German troop movements across the Brenner Pass to Italy in the near future. It is pointed out that when two German divisions went to Italy last month their presence was immediately disclosed, despite elaborate measures for secrecy. One was a motonsed division which is now in the Italian Riviera near the French frontier, and the other was a West* falen infantry division which has since gone to Libya. Large German forces specially equipped for colonial service are reported to be quartered around Innsbruck and Graz, and it is believed that they will shortly be going to Libya.
