WELLINGTON BURNS CLUB

There was a large attendance at the monthly gathering of the Wellington Burns Club on Monday. The president, Mr. R. H. Nimmo, who has been absent on account of illness, received a special and hearty welcome when he took the chair. The concert programme consisted of songs by Mr. Alec Barr, Miss Janet Stirling, Miss Christine Ormiston, Mr. D. L.-Irwin. A recital, which was much appreciated, was given by Miss Molly McKenzie. A most interesting lecture on Robert Louis Stevenson was given by Dr. A. G. Butcher. Supper was supplied by the ladies' committee. Votes of thanks were .given to the artists, to the lecturer, and to the ladies' committee. Proceedings closed with the hearty singing of "Auld Lang Syne."
