BOOKED ON AWATEA
YOUNG MAN'S ARREST
Stated to have booked a passage on the Awatea under the name of Wilson, and to have been, found .on the ship as she was ' about, to leave for Australia. Raymond . Julian .Jorgon.spn. a clerk, aged 20, appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today, charged with breaking and entering the premises of .Preston and Thompson, Panama Street, on July 6, and committing theft.. He was also charged with a. breach of probation.
Detective-Sergeant P. Doyle, who applied for a remand for a week, said that the accused .was arrested by Detectives A. Reid and P. C. Smeaton, and there were other matters which would have to be investigated.
