DAIRY WORKERS' DISPUTE

Hours and wages were the principal matters still in dispute when the conciliation council which has been considering the proposed .New Zealand dairy factory workers! award adjourned yesterday afternoon after a three-day sitting. The council met previously for three days in May. The questions of hours and' wages were referred to the Court of. Arbitration, but there is a ' possibility that the council will meet again to discuss them.

The Conciliation Commissioner (Mr. M. J. Reardon) presided. Mr. T. O. Bishop.was advocate for the employers and Mr. J. Roberts for the union.
