TERRORIST ACTIVITIES

ARAB LORRY BOMBED

JERUSALEM TRAFFIC BAN

(Received July 5, 10.25 a.m.)

JERUSALEM, July 4,

A series of terrorist activities broke out in the early morning when unknown persons bombed an Arab lorry. Three people were seriously injured and two slightly injured. The military commander has banned traffic to and from the city until further notice. Strong detachments of soldiers are searching the Jewish quarters and the guards have been doubled at all points.

A collective fine of £1000 has been imposed on the Jewish quarters in the north-western city as a result of recent outrages against Arabs.

A curfew was imposed following the shooting of an Arab in the market place at Nazareth.
