SHEEP COMMISSION

A NEW. MEMBER

CHANGE IN PERSONNEL

A change in the personnel of the Commission of Inquiry into the sheepfarming industry-of New Zealand has been made owing to the retirement of Mr. R. C. Todhunter, of Methven, for health reasons. His place bad been filled by Mr. Dickson Jardir,e, Kawarau Falls Station, of Queenstown. In making this announcement today the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. W. L. Martin) said Mr. Jardine was a very well-known sheep farmer who would bring to the Commission a long experience of high-country conditions.

The first meeting of the Commission will be held in Wellington on July 11, and the Commission has been instructed to report not later than September 30 next.
