NEW LINE OF APPROACH

LONDON, July 4

The Duke of Kent, presiding at a meeting in connection with the Papworth Village Settlement for the Disabled, referred to a theory evolved by Dr. Barron Cruickshank, one of the Papworth research workers, that there was a definite link between tuberculosis and cancer.

Sir Pendrill Varrier-Jones, founder of the settlement, has issued a warning that there is no question of the discovery of a cancer cure, but a new line of approach has been discovered, possibly leading to promising fields.
