, (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. If the employers refuse to negotiate, thfe 400 strikers, at the three j chemical works are prepared to strike indefinitely, according to a statement today by Mr. W. Miller, secretary of the Otahuhu Chemical Manure Workers' Union, after a meeting of the executive. ..•:;■ -,= The statement added that the offer made by the workers on June 27 to negotiate for a settlement still stands, but so far no suggestion has been made by the other side that they are ! prepared to accept the' offer;1 The workers state !that 'they are anxious to settle the dispute as* they have no wish to inconvenience farmers or other users of fertilisers. They invite any impartial investigation of the conditions under which they work, feeling that the complaint that they are intolerable can be substantiated. The employers met informally yesterday, but they have no statement to make. ; ...'*'
