The Duke of Kent has informed the Commonwealth Government feat because of the need for heavy eKpendk ture on defence he does not desire large-scale official qeremonies on his arrival at State capitals as Governor* General. . It is possible, however, says the Canberra correspondent of the "Sydney Morning Herald," that the Commonwealth Government's reception will, be planned as a spectacle befitting the occasion.
