There were some quite good scores last night and it is very pleasing to see older members getting back to fiorm. Several of the new | members continue to return good targets. Among ! the scores for the night were Mrs. Nickless 69, A. Jenkins 68, Miss Jorgenson, Miss J. Stevens, and A. Goldsbrough 67. The following teams are to shoot next Monday:—A grade: K. MacDowall, H. Nickless, R. Jenkins, V. Gini, R. Allen, I. Kendrick, W. K. McGrath; B grade. Miss Wendelborn, C. Dobson, L. Kendrick, R. Pumfrey, C. Wiren, A. Goldsbfough, A. Jenldns. HUTT CLUB. Seven members of the Hutt Club visited Pahiatua on Saturday for the Bush' Districts championship. H. H. King, C. C. Lambert, R. Whiteman, and H. R. Keene finished 3rd, 4th, sth, and 6th respectively. G. Weeds, A. Cronin and O. Whiteman finished Ist, 2nd, and 3rd respectively in the B grade, and Miss Melva Calder won the ladies' match with an excellent possible. C. C. Lambert and R. Whiteman won the pairs aggregate over all championship shoots, and the team, consisting of C. C. Lambert, R. Whiteman, H. Keene, G. Weeds, and O. Whiteman, won the teams match by five points from Masterton. SOUTH, CLUB. The Hutt Club's competitions ending for June resulted as follows: —A grade: C. Morris, 202, 3—205; W- t Cresswell, 203, 1—204. B grade: A. Ward, 201, 5—206; H. Lane, 205— 205; and D. McGinnity, 200, 5 —205 (tie for second). Ward takes 3 points in the Goodwill trophy. The S.M.R.C. Certificate (highest rifle score for B- grade) was won by H. Lane. The Franklyn Shield for May and June (possible 490) was tied for by C. Morris, 469, 9 —478, and A. Ward, 464, 4—478. The ties will be shot off tonight. PUBLIC SERVICE CLUB. There was no competition shoot last. Thursday but two teams, 8 a-side, were picked. Ten competitors - achieved the possible. They were J. Morrison 95, 5—100; A. V. G. Wilson 98, 2— 100, R. S. Owen 98, -2—loo, F. J. Waterworth 98, 2—loo C. Cherry 85, 15—100,.5.M. Hope 98, 2—loo Mrs. Foley 85, 15—100, J. Foley 0.5, si-100, V. Gini 98, 2—loo, and J. McKenzie 90, 4—loo. In the shoot off J. Foley . S. M. Hope, R.S. Owen, and F. J. Waterworth again achieved the possible, and shared the prize moiiey. The leading rifle scores were those of T. Lawton 99, P. W. Congreve, V. Gini, S. M. Hope, R. S. Owen, F. J. Waterworth, and A. V. G. Wilson 98 each. The novelty: competition, in which the targets were divided into segments, was won by A: .A: Ford, 27 points, with A. V. G. Wilson, 26 points, second. As the Wellington championship is being held on the range next Saturday there will be no further shoot.until July 15.
