REVIEW BY THE KING
(British Official Wireless.) (Received July 3, 2 p.m.) RUGBY, July 2. The King this afternoon reviewed 20,000 national service volunteers from all parts of the country in Hyde Park. A notable feature of the parade, which attracted a very •■ large -crowd, was that every man and woman in the parade was a volunteer. The i rally was the first occasion of its -kind. Not only were there detachments from the auxiliary services of i the fighting forces—the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, Territorials, and Royal Air Force auxiliaries—but for the first time the forces of civil defence marched with the fighting services.
