The Colonial Secretary was asked in the House of Commons if he had under consideration the growing demand for a standing Parliamentary Committee for colonial affairs. , .

Mr. Mac Donald said he was aware that this proposal was looked, upon with favour in various quarters, and he was considering it not only on its individual merits but on the wider basis of the adequacy of the existing arrangements for carrying out colonial policy. The Governriient was proceeding in the riiatter as rapidly as was consistent with .the natyre of the problem, and he could not say anything more at present.
