MEN AS DENTAL NURSES
The proposal made recently by the Canterbury School Committees' Association that men should be trained for positions in school dental clinics was replied to in a letter receiveu by the association from the director of the Dental Hygiene Division of the Department of Health on Wednesday evening, states the "Press." "I am directed to say that more dental nurses are being trained today than ever before," the director (Mr. J. L. Saunders) stated. "Although a certain number resign each year in order to be married, the proportion is not regarded as undue. At no time have such resignations caused any serious disruption of the plans for the expansion of the service. There are definite advantages in employing dental nurses for this work, and I have to say that the training of male officers is not contem elated."
