CHEMICAL MANURE WORKS

A 40-hour week-, to be worked between 7.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day from Monday to Friday, is provided in the Dominion award for lead burners and chemical plumbers in and about .chemical manure works which has been issued by the Court of Arbitration. . The minimum rate of wages for lead burners and chemical plumbers, other than trainees or apprentices, is fixed at £6.10s a week. Overtime is to be at the rate of time and a half for the first four hours, and double time thereafter. Each worker is 'o be allowed ah annual holiday of one week on full pay at ordinary rates on completion of each year of service. Statutory holidays ai'e provided in accordance with the' Factories Act.
