SUNK WHEN BERTHING
EMPIRE FLYING-BOAT
ALL ON BOARD SAFE

LONDON, June 12,
The Imperial Airways flying-boat Centurion, on the flight from Sydney, is reported to have sunk when berthing at the Bally air base, Hooghly, India.
The four passengers and the five members of the crew were saved.
Imperial Airways states, that the Centura mi was landing when a-sud-den north-westerly gust lifted the tail, causing the flying-boat's nose to dip into the water, the ship being partially submerged. There were no serious injuries.
The mails are now being salvaged,
