REPAIRING SLIPPERS

When the inner soles of felt slippers come out, they may be easily and comfortably replaced by soles cut from the cardboard back of a used writingpaper pad. Take a piece of paper a little longer than the shoe, and a little more than twice the width of the sole. Fold in half lengthwise, place the slipper on the paper, and with a pencil trace round the shoe. Then cut through the pieces of paper along the pencil line, thus making two patterns. Place them on the cardboard, toe to heel, and cut out with a sharp pair of scissors. As the pattern will probably be a little larger than the slipper, any alterations can easily be made.
