LINESMAN'S DEATH
FALL FROM POWER POLE

PAHIATUA, This Day,
Falling from a power pole after coming in contact with an 11,000-volt line at Pongaroa late yesterday afternoon, John McAlister White, 26, unmarried, a linesman employed by the Tararua Power Board, received injuries from which he died in the Pahiatua Hospital early this morning.
