CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS
By their win over Marist Bros. Old Boys at Athletic Park yesterday, Wellington now have a clear lead of two points in the Wellington senior first division Rugby championship. Petone are in, second place, and Marist Bros. Old Boys have dropped to third place three points behind the leaders.
The championship points are: Wellington 12, Petone 10. Marist Bros. Old Boys 9, Poneke 8, Johnsonville 8. Hutt 7, Athletic 6, Wellington College Old Boys 4, University 3, Eastbourne 2, Oriental 1, St. Patrick's College Old Boys 0.
