NEARING THE END

LORD GALWAY'S TERM

RETURN HOME NEXT YEAR

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

AUCKLAND, June 2

Mention that he did not expect to be in New Zealand this time next year was made by the Governor-Gen-eral, Lord Galway, when speaking at the annual prize night of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.

It was the last time, he said, that he would be able to attend as patron the squadron's prize-giving.

Lord Galway said his term as Gov-ernor-General was nearing its end. Next year he expected to be in England again, but for the rest.of his life, he said, his recollections would be tinged with the very- pleasantest of memories of New Zealand. Particularly would he remember the yachting fraternity of Auckland.
